Remove ammo tab in station interface
Here's a simple suggestion:
With ammunition being as inexpensive as it is, what if the station automatically replenished all of your ammo each time you docked? (at cost, of course)
That way, the ammo tab could be removed altogether, removing needless clutter from the station interface.

and if they need to add it back, and they ever manage to fix the 'buy' menu so it has categories, then put an 'ammo' category under the 'buy' menu.
i do like ananzis idea.....put a general ammo option under the buy tab
this idea is as good as the decision to have stations repair you automatically. i'm all for it.
The big difference between this & the stations autorepair, is that you aren't charged for being autorepaired. Call me a miser, but on the rare occasions that I decide to use ammo-based weapons, after I'm finished with it, I'd rather sell it empty, than buy ammo that I'm not going to use, and then sell it.
Putting ammo on the normal buy list (preferrably improved to have catagories) would work nicely.

I actually, would love to have the autorepair cost money.
C'mon, you're telling me this utopia has free mechanics? Now THAT's
Naive!

I'd be fine with repairing costing money, but not auto-repair. I like having control over if, when, and how I spend money.
don't want to pay for autorepair? it's easy. stop taking damage. :)
i'm testing this out with my new "no more running into asteroids" policy. so far it's working pretty well.

I agree with:
repair costs money. no autorepair though.
ammmo tab under buy.
Another great thing is to have a tab for weapons and a tab for goods under the buy tab.
It makes no sense to scrool a long list when you can have all separated by type of purchase.

Personally I don't like the auto-repair/auto-rearm. I used to go out into battle slightly damaged to provoke opponents more.
While I can't make that arguement for ammo very much, I think that by automating it you make vendetta's combat too simplistic. Plus charging credits without my consent is a no no :P

I think it'd be really neat if repairing wasn't instantaneous either.
If there was a little repair bar that, depending on the amount of damage, would take a little time to repair. This would slow down the jump out-repair-jump in process.
Also, in escape velocity, autorefuel was something you could buy. It still cost money, but if you bought the autorefueler for your ship you wouldn't have to worry about it.

If there's to be a change, I'd hope that one could turn off autorepair/ammo. Noobs tend to be poor at first and often get damaged early on. Some may wish to have a little more control over where their money goes.
