Slight mods to the Repair Module
Well I tried out the repair module last night. I noticed a few things that too me could be modified to make it a bit better.
1. The sounds of the module.
When you fire the nanite swarm onto a player it has the same sound as if you just fired a weapon at the player. Perhaps give it a comepletely different sound, a buzz or a hum or something.
2. The way it looks.
Right now it looks as if your firing a single positron shot at players, and every time I did this I received nothing but weapons fire in return. Mind you I did not hail these people to warn them but still, being repaired should not look or feel like weapons fire. As a fix, why not make it a beam like the mining beams, or a much larger ball of nanites, more like a charged cannon shot at max yeild (since no one uses that weapon). That would defintely make it different looking and hard to mistake as a weapon. Unless your planning to introduce beam weapons.

I agree it really looks like a tach/rail. Maybe a green gausslike shot would be easier to see.
I suggested a cargo-eating repair beam here. That'd fix the whole 'looks like a weapon' problem:

I must not have read the forum that week, don't know how I missed that one ctishman, but I like your idea. Something needs to be done though, it's too expensive to get blown up every time you try to heal someone.

Actually yoda, I did that yesterday, and what I got in responce was "Shut Up you PWNED CtC Stealer"-(DescentPro), and was immediately blown up. But I am going to make a button.
actually, it looks like a blue charged cannon shot that sounds like a railgun. Maybe if it shot a more bulbous gauss-like shot? Really big and billowy.
On the other hand, I like that it looks like a normal shot. The attackers can't tell whether you're helping or hurting them. Well, not until the health starts rising.

john, its not usually a good idea to name names in the forum, however in this case the fact that you did allows me to respond as follows: :)
just put him on ignore. he shoots anything that moves as long as it doesnt have a very good chance of killing him.
