Teamchat and nation indicator
It would be great, if there is a way to bring back the old teamchat (shift+t). The way it is now, having a separate channel for nationchat (or teamchat, whatever you call it), is not very praticable imho.
The other point i want to see back in game, is the nationcolour for every character. Giving the names the colour back or putting a coloured dot in front would be great.

Although channel 11 was/is a good idea, I tottaly agree with Lin, people dont really use nation chat as much for one main reason, we are too lazy to keep switching channels, its hard enough keeping up with 1, 100 and that uhum other channel, no, I realise this introduces the other side of the argument, IE: we already have Channel chat, Sector chat, Group chat and Guild chat, why add another *key*? my answer to this would be a simple one, your not always in a group, not everyone is in a guild, but you are always in your nation, as for what the key should be, as t and T are already used, just add the option, tell us to bind the key in the changelog, for n00bs that get lost, well, we already have to explain channel changing, warping, the UI in general, even docking, im sure the vets and not so vets among us would be glad to add this to our list =p
It would be nice to more easily communicate in nation speak, however, the reason I normally do not use it is that what would you say in it that you wouldn't in say /100. Stuff like "Pirate A has been sighted in X system/sector" would be nice, but pirates can monitor all nation channels as there guilds are multinational, same with some other multinational guilds like EnB and SoR, if your trying to notify someone to look out or be sneaky about something, chances are that someone will pass that info along. So, using /11 more or not doesn't seem to have that big of an impact of the play of the game.
But again, it would be nice to have a quick-chat command to get there.

Nation chat isnt about hunting pirates. I am not a pirate, i am a cargo inspector if you will. Its about introducing your new nation members, or informing people about your situation outside your guild, there will always be spies, even on ch 11 ;) we just need a way to access it easy.
And as for adding nation colours in chat, im all for this, adds a RP thing, and lets face it, I once convinced an Itani pilot I was an Itani, arranged a meet, and shot the hell out of him (beta) hehehe

What would be nice would be a sayc command. It would accept two commands: the channel, and what to say. That way we could do things like bind "/sayc 11 help!" to a key to send stuff to teamchannel.
I think channel 11 was always intended as being temporary. At least, that's what it said in the 1.1.5 ChangeLog.
Come now, roguelazer, you should be able to write an alias that would do that. The only hard part is getting back to whichever channel you started from.
alias say11 "join 11; prompt 'say_channel '"
alias sayc "prompt 'join '; prompt 'say_channel '"

nationcolour would be nice.
But make it a double ring. With the inside being red or green depending on the hostileitydefinitions of now. And the outside being the colour of its nation.
Or just give the radarblip the colouring of the faction active at the time you are encountering him/her/it.
Example if loved by corvus and you are loved by corvus then give both the corvus colour if in a corvus sector. although this is probably more trouble then it is worth it.
cheers
