Roid Fighters
Ok, I had the wonderful experience last night of doing a lot of intra-roid fightin.
SO much fun, especially as it requires a much greater degree of control over your ship. You can't just pull any maneuver to dodge.
But really, apart from it being fun, there's not much reason to fight inside a roid.
Would it be possible to make certain roids strategic points?

As part of border patrol missions, some of the serco and itani could use some of the larger broken apart roids as way stations, where they have small (very small) outposts, possible a simple listening posts that you could defend. That would make a reason to fight in or near roids.
Back when the world was new (to us non-Testers, anyway) I used to defeat players much more skilled than me by luring them into large asteroids. It'd be cool if these became regular battlegrounds instead of blue-moon duel points.

I would imagine that that many objects would become taxing very quickly. even now I notice a significant reduction in performance in high roid areas, even with a cable modem and a fast computer.
