Players vs. Bots / Border patrol/ NPC pirates...
okie guys we all known the lack of actions and the lack of interest in any missions.
here my suggestions :
the game should not wait more players to be effective.
the wonderful lack of action and danger in game :
the grey space need to be more existing.
- add the border patrol mission in greyspace for the 3 nations.
- add ccomplishment for border patrol [medals/standing/weapons/ships]
- border patrol mission :
UIT border patrol mission : destroy Corvus NPC (pirates)in grey space.
Itani border patrol mission : destroy Serco NPC in grey space.
Serco border patrol mission : destroy itani NPC in grey space.
NPC are not a NPC traders and not a players.
NPC appear eveywhere in grey space (no more a specific sector like the current border patrol mission).
NPC could attack travellers (players and NPC traders on sight).

I concur.
I just recently finished my first Border Patrol mission. The only thing that kept me from doing it before is having to commute all the way to Deneb from my normal CtC stomping grounds. Having border patrol around the _other_ nation borders makes complete sense.

that could be very interesting to see hstil NPC fighters in grey space.
actually all we see are a NPC "traders".
where are the NPC "pirates"?
why only players could be "pirates"?

I agree there needs to be more random intereaction with NPC chars that are other then traders or bots, Pirates like has been suggested, equipped with real ships other then atlases actively attacking traders would be way more interesting.
Border Patrols would also be fun to have available for UIT, or at least be able to see active border patrol missions going on in Eradis would be very interesting.

great idea, not too difficult to execute
It would be interesting to have npc pirates in ion storms in odia, and througout greyspace, maybe one or two, if youre a trader, you could run away as usual, but it should give a small combat xp reward to kill the pirat npc in between all the arklans.
Maybe ionstorms got a little less boring for most players
