Time Counter for Trade Guild Missions
It would be useful to have an on-screen time counter for timed Trade Guild missions. Some missions must be completed within a set time limit to achieve a bonus, but without an on-screen clock, it is very difficult to balance risk with safety in determing speed/trajectories.
Along that line, it would also be useful to have a clock with the local stardate/startime, preferably customizable in analog/digital/hybrid format.

I had thought about this originally, but it then seemed like there is some reason why the devs wouldn't do it. How bout instead, any time you're at a station as soon as you come in (or leave, whichever's easier) it tells you how much more time you have. That way you aren't lost completely if you don't have a timer IRL.
That probably wouldn't be helpful for the short (2:00) missions.
For example, suppose I get caught in an ion storm on a short intra-system trading guild delivery mission while in a free bus with infiniboost, and get attacked by a TyCorps Assault bot, who depletes my HP down to 3% before I reach the storm exit point.
While flying, I am distracted by the telephone ringing, and lose my sense of time.
When I emerge, I am not sure whether I have 60 or 30 seconds remaining, and I can't dock elsewhere in the meantime.
If I have 60 seconds remaining, I'll dock carefully, because I care about my credit rating, and infiniboost will give me enough time to dock.
But if I have only 30 seconds remaining, I'll try to crash-dock, because I want the bonus more than a better credit rating.
I can't decide accurately in this situation without an on-screen timer (incidentally, I don't have a watch, and sometimes play in full-screen mode). Therefore, I would need a timer to make a correct judgement.

Yeah, an on-screen clock of some sort would be nice. Maybe I'll make a mockup.
Yea. A time counter would be nice. I kinda like to know when I'm running low on time BEFORE I actually run out of time. Maybe just put it below the Weapon and Cargo Loadout section of the HUD on the left side of the screen.
Yess..
A timer in the HUD gets my vote!
This is also applicable to other things like ctc announcements and racing, and a lot of things to come.

What about the option to query the mission computer for the remaining time? I know in the advanced bot missions you can ask it for a status update. Maybe would take less work than adding a timer to the HUD.
