A restriction on Neutron MkIII per character each week.
wonder if it's possible to put a restriction on Neutron MkIII
it's supposed to be an rare and special weapon crafted from convoy cargos.
each character could buy only 10 Neutron MkIII max per week.
actually everybody has it stock piled in stations.

I vote for it. And let's begin with this week.
I'm not sure about this Neut3 stuff.
Yes, it serves as rewards to those who CtC and rewards are cool.
But unless you're a seasoned vet, there's no way for noobs like me (been here only two months at most) to match the firepower that these Neut3s yield--I've not had access to it yet. In fact, I'm not even sure what to achieve to get them.
If players could pass around (aka, sell) equipment, this might open some kind of free market of (illicit?) goods.
There should be restrictions though. You can buy thing, but not necessarilly equip them to your ship if you dont have the license (pilots dont arm ships, right? Only mechanics do...).
I could see a min trader level to be able to sell equipment like this. Corvus, I would imagine, would turn away from pirating if they could be arms dealers (!).
Everybody wins! (Except the poor, but nothing had changed in milleniums so why try now...)

Nya's point is not new but still strong. It is meant to keep the N3 as a cool reward and therefore maintain a high commitment to CtC. Stockpiling just negates that. For example, I still have a good deal of N3 that I bought in early December(!). Being able to pass them would be cool anyway.
I'm of two minds on this. Kinda, I really like it the way it is now. But I do feel kinda like stockpiling them is a semi-exploit, and I feel guilty that I do it.
So, here's how I'd like to see this done, if it is done. First and foremost, it should be LARGE number. I'd also like the number of N3s per player to be based off of the number of units delivered to the winning team, say each player can buy one N3 per twenty units delivered, so if the winning team had 2310 (last weeks winning score), each player on that team could buy 116 N3s.
Also, I'd like to see a reward to those players who actually participate in CtC. Like, if a player delivers to the winning team, they can purchase an extra N3 for each 10 units they delivered. This last could apply to UIT players as well, so if a UIT player delivered 23 units to the winner, he could buy 2 N3s.

That is way to harsh on the UIT participants of ctc, so serco and itani gets like 120 n3's and they get two, lets say they get one per cargo delivered...
If weapons could be transfered between players then what would stop an Itani loyal player from leveling up a new serco player a little bit and buying stockpiles of neut III's.
p.s. I really want to see this implimented though.

This would be fine if you could find a way to purge all but ten N3s from the hundreds pilots have stockpiled.

Right now they can't get Nuet 3s at all, I think it's a good idea.

Nya's point is valid, but his timing is entertaining.
He said nothing about this publicly while the serco were dominating CTC, now the Itani win for once after almost 5 weeks, and now he asks for restriction?

I also agree, but I think existing stockpiles should be forcefully removed :). Start everyone out at square 1.
Forcefully..... as in we get our money back at least. :)
I agree, turn stored Neuts into credits, and let people start over getting them.
heck, I could use the money. :-)

you all are saying this just because you lost for like the first time. Let us have our fun with it for one week, then you can go back to kicking our ass with it.
first off, no mechanic works on my ships... you never know when an itani spy innfiltrates a station and wires your blasters wrong so they explode upon firing and rip a gaping hole in your hull! nnope, only i touch my ships!!
secondly, i do see some itani names that are for the restrictions.
thirdly, uit participants being allowed to buy neut3's after helping the nation win sounds like an awesome idea. but you would have to be careful in programming that so the participants can't deliver 10 to serco and 75 to itani, and buy from each nation reguardless of who wins. it should be they can only buy from that nation they made the most deliveries to that week. encourage them to make a choice! :D

As far as removing existing stockpiles, I could see that as a one time thing, if/when the restriction on N3s per player is implemented, to start everyone off even. If removing the stockpiles was going to be weekly thing, then I'd say don't bother with setting up a restriction on the number of N3s a player can purchase, because the weekly removal of the N3s would make it fairly pointless, IMO.
@epadafunk: Don't worry, I think the devs have enough work on their hands, that we'll be able to celebrate our N3s for a while before they're likely to implement this.
@Bobsin: Actually, I'd prefer it if UIT players could "deliver 10 to serco and 75 to itani, and buy from each nation reguardless of who wins." But, the way I suggested it, if Serco won the UIT player could only buy one, while if the Itani (who they helped more) won, they could buy 8 (well, 7 & 1/2 ;).
One reason I'd prefer this is to balance the UIT disadvantage of not being able to buy as many as a player of the winning faction, that sissoko mentioned.

I agree the whole point of playung UIT is so you can profit off both Itani and Secro. Why not let them play both sides and profit no mater the outcome.
