PDF version of the vendetta online manual
Hi, i'm a new player of this fantastic game, i want to ask to the developers an "idea": why you don't put a PDF version of the vendetta manual? I'm italian and I have some problems to buy the retail version of this game because here no one sell it, so probably the best thing to do is to put a downloadable version of the manual that anyone can download and print, what do you think?
If you download the game, either for the trial or for purchase, the install does include a copy of the manual, although it is in HTML rather than PDF. It's in a manual subdirectory in the directory vendetta installs to. It's maybe not as printer friendly as a PDF file would be, but you could print it out without too much trouble I think.

Also, the downloaded manual is more up-to-date than the dead-tree version that comes in the box. For example, the section on mining is not in the paper version.

Not in the Mac version. The dmg downloaded contain only the app and the readme, nothing else.
redeemer666: click on the vendetta app icon while holding ctrl, then select "show package contents". the manual is right there: "manual.html".
Thanks a lot hronek!!
Maybe not manual but PDF version of backstory would be nice.
I actually have a PDF version of the manual, but the content is owned by Strategy First (not the actual story/manual, that's ours, but rather the nice layout and graphics), and they didn't really want it distributed (detracts from the value of buying the print version). We could perhaps generate a PDF version of the basic word document, I'll look into it.
I would be happy to produce it nicely (but with an eye to not undercutting box sales), and then donate it back, if you'll give permission to do so.
