how about allowing people to rent spinning billboards outside of stations??? it must be possible for these to display uploaded jpgs.....

nice idea, but within 30 minutes every station would have porno billboards everywhere. It would only work if each jpeg was inspected by the devs and approved.

My sentiments exactly, i don't want to see XXX Sl*uty Wh*rs waiting for your c*m every time i enter my favorite station after a hard day of mining and definitely don't want to see it after a 10 system jump trade mission.

as for the idea, the only advertisements i would like to see are for INGAME things. the can be introduce to be like the news tab but for in-game things like the introduction of the cap ship saying

"it finally repaired, the insert Name* is in full operation and is patrolling our boarders"

and it can introduce new Bounties given NOT COLLECTED but issued by the government for harassing one of its prized citizens.

heck the could even just advertise fake game things like SERCO AIL, the only brew that does not freeze in deep space.

oh and i know not ALL the bill boards would be like that but with the 1,000,000 porn sites out there at least 1/10 would try to advertise.

avoiding porn ads is easy for the devs, simply DON'T allow them. I mean, every add needs to be payed, so there will be some negotiation, so they know exactly which product comes on the billboards. Vendetta does need a bigger userbase for this tho succeed in the first place tho. Could be a nice secondary income.

OR how about we just pay with in game creds.... try to keep the economy in VO. And there aren't that many stations so it couldn't be that hard to look over say 30 pictures a week supposing the billboards would stay up for however long you pay for them. Or just kick them out of the game if they do upload a bad pic! Put it in the EULA!

I would think that ads for porn, etc. would be common in unregulated places like Corvus. Not that I am advocating for such. But maybe some pseudo-porn ads in such places (something like XXX for cheep gives the idea without getting offensive).
