Update "in Progress" after each update
ok ok i know its hard to always do that. Hell when i triad making a Great FF7 Strat guide in Flash i had 30 e-mails asking to update my "in Progress" thing and 10 suggestions. after 2 weeks and 60 messages of "have far are you now?" i stopped.
so no rush, just thought it would bee cool to see what we might get next week.
oh by the way, i only got to materia (thats what i started with) i finished 10 of them. and i must say, it looked GOOD* but that was a year ago.

Did you read the In Progress? It was up-dated. Much of the material from the previous post was relevant so he added new stuff at the begining with the current date 1/5. Unfortunately the original posting date didn't change becuase it was an edit, not a brand new post.

Update 01/05:
For the next couple of weeks we have a few things in the works. Doing some marketing to hopefully bring a little more attention to the game. Improving parts of the website that are vastly in need of updating.
The capital ship is still in development. It's fundamentally functional (as much as it used to be, in the alpha), but Ray is now working on making it jump properly between sectors, some technical caveats relating to its scale, as well as some capital-specific reworking of AI and other things. Once it's ready to be truly used in a mission, you'll see it appear.
An update on Monday the 17th will include a heavily rewritten version of the "trade" series of missions, with numerous enhancements and various new features. At some point after he finishes the new trade missions, Waylon will also be dropping in some new Accomplishments goals and medals and associated rewards.
New AI improvements will also be completed by the 10th.
As far as game tweaking is concerned, it is my intention to continue changing the ships a bit here and there, implementing some of the (many) suggestions, and hopefully getting the ship/weapon balance a bit closer to where it should be.
My overriding desire is to begin tying together various disperate elements of the game which have been added in relatively recent updates. We've added a lot of "offshoot" features (like mining) and now it's time to get back to the overall goals of the game and the cross-polination of the various objectives.
I also have a long list of other existing things that need improvement or fixing (guilds, bounties, faction system, yadda yadda) which will be getting attention in the near term as well. Overall, I'm more focused on Fixing What We Have than Moving On To The Next Thing, at present. Ray's work on the capital stuff could be construed as our forward momentum for the moment, while every else focuses on improving what exists.
As always, if you have a suggestion about what we're doing (or aren't doing!) please post it on the Suggestion boards in the forum (accessible by logged-in users only). Thanks much for all your patience and support :).
