navigation panel suggestions
Pressing hotkey (n) opens navigation panel but pressing it for 2nd time won't close it. I think this could be really handy because sometimes a player needs to select destination and quit panel quickly (let's say you enter a secror full of bots and want to be sure you have destination set asap)
Another nice feature could be auto selecting destination to a sector from wich player came. For example, if i jump from J1 to K8, J1 could be set as destination automatically after i arrive to K8. This could help a bit people doing combat training or such missions where you are just jumping between 2 sectors all the time.
I'm relatively new to this game so pls don't blame me if this was discussed already ^^;

Actually, pressing n in the nav screen will close it. Or rather, it will close it as long as your curser isn't in the chat box (ie. so you're not trying to send "n" to the channel, or whatever)
There isn't an explicit function like what you're suggesting in paragraph 2, but you can simply hold down shift and click back and forth between sectors a bunch of times. Yes, your waypoints are saved even after docking :)
I'm curious, is "nihon-jin" really a nihonjin (Japanese)?

actually, pressing 'n' will do it, but pressing any other key binded to navpanel will not (v in my case). I just tried it couple of times and it simply won't close. (i haven't tested what happens if you have 'n' binded to something different)
Dunno if i should repost this to bugs section now ^^;
thanks for the tip with waipoints :)
and no, nihon-jin is not a nihonjin, just a nick my japanese friends gave to me couple of years ago :)
