CTC affecting prices
I don't know if this was allready posted, but I think it would be nice to see CTC affect prices in Serco or Itani systems. It's rather a small thing, but would feel pretty realistic. Let's say a large shipment of, i don't know, phase arrays or something doesn't come true because one group destroyed the transports, then prices go up in a certain station because of no delivery. Nice way for us UIT guys to make a proffit out of your war :-p
erm.. Just how would this work out? CtC is always one thing, Purified Xithicide Ore.
uhm, i dunno, maybe one day in the future, these stations will need real supplies or something, was actually just a small thought that came up to me. With all the good ideas around here it's hard to come up with something original, but thats what I like about vendetta and what makes the game great. A lot of good user input en devs who actually listen to the users. Its the small things that can make something great...
There's been some discussion before about a chain of supply among stations, which would give incentives to trade a certain way. It would be great if player purchases were treated as an accurate sampling of what the population in general was buying.
Example: Player buys a plasma devestator. The demand for plasma devestators goes up (immediately raising its price), which raises demand for its components, such as plasma core, at manufacturing stations. Traders would naturally fill these needs by shipping items in greatest demand, because they have the highest prices. This demand chain would go all the way back to raw ores gathered by player miners.
Of course, there never will be a market for civilian textiles among players, so that would have to be wholly simulated. But that doesn't ruin the general idea.

"there never will be a market for civilian textiles among players"

What's wrong with flying naked? It gets hot in some ships.
Back on topic: I think there should be more routes like the on in CtC, this give pirate a way to make money.
i.e. Serco art to UIT museums. Initos N 12 to Arta Caelestis B 7.
Or Itani yoga mats to UIT gyms. Jallik E 15 to Verasi C 5.
And there could be escort missions that go along with these routes. i.e. Serco art convoy is leaving in 15 min if you would like to help go get the escort mission at Initos N 12. This could pay really well and give standing bounus with both nations. (plus some good ol pvp)

Longer Range And Beyond The 20th:
We're currently working towards reviving our old capital ship [ http://images.vendetta-online.com/screenshots/capital2.jpg and http://images.vendetta-online.com/extras/capital.jpg ] which people will remember from the Alpha and Beta. This is the first major step towards the sort of "capital ship" addon that everyone (including us) wants to see, but a lot of work has to be done in the interim to lay the framework for everything we want to do. In any event, you should see the cap ship appearing as a named Serco flagship at some point in the not-too-distant future. The idea, at present, is to make it a centerpiece for Serco/Itani set of conflict missions.. the Serco will help escort their ship on patrols of the borders, the Itani will have missions to attack it.

I, for one, am very much looking forward to this.
