You remember, there was a suggestion in this forum of bots dropping weapons from time to time.

If it was 'just that' it wouldnt be anything too special.

Now, in most MMOGs, you can buy weapons at an NPC (which would be a spacestation in our case) but they are mostly all pretty weak. At this MMOGs, the really strong weapons are dropped by a certain monster, by a certain droprate.

Wouldnt that be a great addition to Vendetta Online? At this moment, every good weapon/ship/whatever is buyable at the station. Everything you need to do is level up, and in some case get a good standing to a certain nation.

Having better weapons only gettable from a sort of bot would make it more challenging, more eclectic and it would be something more you can do in the vendetta universe, like 'i'll now go bash some XXXX-Bots trying to get this wpon i ever wanted'. Also it could raise a little fine market on the system (which of course would require some kind of player2player trading system).

What do you guys think?

It was just what I was trying to explain with my bosses suggestion. Either a single player or a group of players would nail x amount of easier bots to get to a really hard "boss" bot that would drop a really cool weapon/engine/device that you couldnt get anywhere else. Not only would this make combat and botting really enjoyable . . . but it would greatly help the grouping situaton as well. Also, if trading equipment ever came into play, it would make these really hard to get items more valueable and would make credits really worth somthing.

YES!!!!! YES!!!!!! This is exactly what npc combat needs. If you ask anyone, ANYONE (genka for example) what they think about botting.... who is going to say they enjoy it? NOONE! I don't mind botting. Something for incentive though would make it alot more fun, especially for people who can't really participate in ctc because of 56GAY. Let's say after 25 bots or less you get "something". It could be just a normal weapon that you get from a station. Maybe a weapon for license levels 2/2/2/2/2. Then after 50 bots you get something from 3/3/3/3/3. That would be for the basic combat training. For Advanced combat missions the first 25 bots should spawn a boss that gives you a weapon/battery/mining laser from 5/5/5/5/5. Once you hit 50 6/6/6/6/6/. 75 would be 7/7/7/7/7. and so on. . . . But once you hit 150 bots you would get something... "unique". You would of course have to do all of this before you died and maybe even before you logged off. Or maybe the boss (Boss *Orun) or (Boss *Tycorp) would spawn every 2 hours or so.... However it would be setup I think the boss should drop something special. Also the boss should be very hard so that group combat would be encouraged. I mean if this bot was spawned all the time and was easy then everyone would have the weapon/battery/mininglaser. But if you had this certain "boss" bot spawn in only certain sectors and very rare then everyone would try to hunt him down. Infact maybe his spawning should be completely random like the Hive queens. This way whatever "unique" drop there is, it won't be available to everyone.

Genka, youve obviously never played earth and beyond.... killing NPC's in that game was one of the most fun things ive ever done in any mmorpg. There would be groups of people (sometimes up to 60 or more players total) working together and killing waves of really tough NPC's to get to a really big boss that took a really long time to kill. But some of the equipment the boss dropped was really amazing and sometimes absolutely nescessary to be a really good player in the game.

You see, botting can be fun, especially if there are large things at stake and there is sufficient teamwork involved. I think its a great idea for Vendetta to implement into their game if at all possible and will really add to the overall content of the game.

Yea, raids were really fun and were the big reason why soo many players stayed with earth and beyond, it was one of if not their best feature in the entire game.

Now I know that there arnt 1000+ players on Vendetta at any given time: Mayhaps sometime down the road. But "raids" dont have to have huge groups to be really fun either. Some raids could be done by a single goup of 4-6 and there were mini-raids that could be done by just one person or even a lower level person. The rewards and level and rarity of equipment would all depend on the difficulty of what you are killing and the amount of NPC's that you have kill to get to the "boss", so that there is somthing for everyone who wants to participate in a "raid".

Raids turn the mundane and terribly long aspect of botting into somthing that is really worth the time of the player and is somthing really fun to do. Again, I think it is somthing that the devs should at the very least consider putting into their system.

Genka, this is a suggestion forum, all im doin is making a suggestion. What id like to know is what YOU would suggest as far as bots dropping stuff, cause it seems like your holding somthing really good back from us here.
