Easier trading

Well, here's my two cents on the game. I believe that in the current version, it's too hard to trade money. See, if there's a newbie who wants to start off by buying things, and someone wants to help him....it's a bit of a pain when they're half the Galaxy apart.
I say that it should be possible to trade to any player IF they are at a Capital city.

I imagine that most of the reason that its hard to trade money, is that trading money in the past has been used as an exploit. That seems to me to be a little harder to pull off that it has been at some times in the past, so some of the restrictions can probably be taken off without breaking anything.

But, for me, this seems like a non-issue. Of the sort of things a n00b is able to buy early in the game, all are easily afforded. There is no reason that a new player can't within a few minutes raise enough money to afford anything he is able to buy several times over. Enjoy your limited finances. Enjoy your limited equipment. Low level play and high level play have equal charms. The time will come soon enough when you can afford everything that exists and have more money than you know what to do with.

Even more to the point, struggling with limited resources is very educational. As a n00b, what you lack isn't mostly money. What you lack is mostly experience. If someone gives you a chunk of cash, it allows you to avoid learning some hard lessons that you are going to need to learn if you want to be successful. I've seen too many n00b's get large cash grants from some bored vet with millions to spare, and end up as charity cases because they've never learned how to provide for themselves. There is nothing worse than a n00b whining on the boards for someone to give them more money because they blew a 100 grand and are too lazy or don't know how to take care of themselves. Equally true, I've seen too many n00bs start botting with relatively uber-equipment (especially before licenses) and never learn any fighting skills at all. You need to learn how to defeat a pair of Artemis Collectors with a bus before worrying about better equipment. If you learn to use crappy equipment well, then better equipment won't end up as a crutch you lean on to your loss when facing tougher bots or human pilots.

I'd have to agree with Celebrim, money is SOOO easy to get. Just get a mining laser and make a few cargo runs and BAM you got money.
