Hiding behind roids and assorted suggestions
Hi all,
After playing for about 24hours and getting the feel of the game, here are my suggestions.
(a) Invisible to Radar behind Roids : This should have been beaten to death but I don't see anything on the Forums, or at least not many people clamour for it. There are soooooooooo many interesting new tactical situations one can do with the roids that not implementing this will be a big shame! As a measly low level player (I fly vults), this can be the "equalizer" for low level but tactically shrewed players against the high level players with uber-ships. There must be more uses for those roids other than eye candy and mining targets :).
(b) Fast Charge Battery : IMHO, this item is unbalanced, to say the least. Having to balance Turbo and Gun fire is one of the more interesting tactical skills a player can attain. After having learned all the ropes about this skill, suddenly when one hits Trade 2, one gets an super-battery that makes combat have completely different dynamics. Have you seen those fights? The FC-equiped ship swoop down for a few shots, and then swooop off into infinity, ad nauseum. It's eternal Boom and Zoom, to use WW2 fighter pilot terminology. At least in WW2 fighter sims, one has to think about how to get the altitude required for such maneuvers (this is akin to a Vendetta pilot charging his/her battery for the maneuver). Ok, I know a bunch of players will toast me for this :). So flame away.
(c) An Icon For Flight-Assist Mode : As the great Shape has taught me, FA mode can be used effectively to control a ship in the heat of the battle. I turn FA mode on and off during fights, depending on how I want my ship to handle at that moment. But with so many keys to worry about, sometimes I hit the FA key accidentally and it would take me a moment to figure out which mode I am in. Can we have an icon on the HUD to tell us which mdoe we are in?
That's my 24hours worth of suggestions!
Thanks for a great game.

Astute observations, though you're right that they've all been mentioned before.
The first two have been beaten to death. The third I don't see mentioned as often...
I don't switch flight modes, personally(pure physics), but I can see the merit in both having an indicator, and in how it might be useful for others to be able to toggle...
