I was thinking this morning, (yea i know, thats dangerous)

Anyhow, What if each faction had a cargo that was specific only to it. (remember advanced nanites anyone, "nation" proprietary wigits?) The cargos could sell for about 3k apiece at stations for the appropriate factions/nations, and have a maximum sell value in the 15K range. Profits to stations nearest that factions space would quickly bottom out, but a cargo thats only availible in Odia would almost always fetch a good price in, oh say, Deneb, since not too many people would want to fly enough of it that far to really kill the trade route.
