graphisme, sound, and game play ...
Hi juste beging the demo and I found that VO as a real potential. but I have some suggestion to make
The main reason which make try vendetta is Homeworld II :)
It's an space opera RTS which make me want to try space adventure.
I'm not going to compare VO with homeworld because VO is an MMORPG an homeworld is a RTS. but homewolrd develloper managed to create a marvelous space ambiance and some of their way could be use in VO.
*first, about graphic
the explosion in H2 is really beautyfull and I guess i'ts not as hard to integrate such in VO (have look at screenshot here http://madserv.hf.free.fr/~marmoute/ )
I thing there is also a problemes with the radar in VO. I'ts a deadlyfullwepon because you opponent have a green flashing screen :)
*second, about sound
A strong of homeworld is the sound. your unit is permanently speaking to you. but I VO I heard only silence and something weapons since I start playing. I know that voice is expensive, but a speaking flight computer, control tower, alarm in ship in station could really increase the ST.
The general sound can be improved too. As colission or weapon impact on your ship.
the sound could seem secondary but It's an importante par of in Space game because it fill the void of space.

I play something like 4 hours and I almost never see anyone ... the universe is big and there isn't enougth player to fill it. I know you can generate player, But navigator interface should show how many peoplo there is in system in order to can meet peopple easly. you can also make noob spawonly in certain system.
I meet also probleme with the chat system: my Sector chat key does work and on the other channel you can't send message aas fast as a real conversation need it.
Prerecorded chat message could be usefull too.
I know the universe is fill of void but the human station should not. there is non human in the station only menu. A RPG without NPC is trange and mission sould be gived by human (or put some in the bar).
The mission soul'd have a dificulties indicator because it's hard to know how hard the mission is.
