I think it would be cool to have a station in unaligned space where official duels could be scheduled between players. There could be arenas. Other players could make bets on who the victor would be, with the odds being calculated on dueling records and combat/weapons XP. Maybe even teams could register to duel each-other. Winners get rewards, or even a cut of the gambling proceeds.

or have a dome like on Magrathea that's a super billion miles around. that would be awesome. We could have races and duels in it. From one side to the other.

IMHO, if this was to be implemented it would have to be in Serco space.
According to the backstory they're supposed to have this kind of stuff allready.

While the backstory does say Serco has them, it does not say UIT does not, nor Itani, and I would suggest it go into grey space where everybody can go.

I have been hoping for a long while that the devs put the races back into the game. They were good fun and still would be. There could be a whole system filled with racing tracks and areanas and other features. I think that it would add a lot to the game.
