HUD addition - Current course PIP
To orient oneself in Free-flight mode, two pips -- one on your current trajectory and one on your reverse trajectory -- would be quite useful.
Yeah, i had suggested this a long time ago. I had seen it from another cross-platform online space combat game, Terminus.

Old thread. Maybe you can resurrect the idea.
Ignore my attitude towards physics mode, too. I use it exclusively now. Ah, how niave I was.

Good idea. A vector pip would be better then the existing debris field.
For a forward vector use:
--0--
For a backward vector use:

O

I would also like to see a readout of your current attitude in degrees. 0 deg pitch, 0 deg yaw would face north of the map. An attitude readout would let a group leader order his wingmen to point in the same direction.

Attitude indicator would be helpful in group senerio. It is certainly better than " do you see which way i'm pointing?"
Addition of any indicator for current course vector would be greatly appreciated.

Didn't like it before, don't like it now.

not more gui cruft.. :(
The only part I do like is being able to say "head 90º" or whatever to communicate where to go.... yet how does that work in space?
each sector has its own gravatasnale pull, why not have a middle of a sectors gravate (sucky spelling)
