About paying for the game

Well... i think it would be better if Vendetta would be free. But by paying for it you would gain acces to better territories.

Like in Tibia (www.tibia.com)
You can play for free - but when you pay for premium account you can buy better spells. You can visit certian places (Edron, Darashia, Ankrahmun).

but there should be a limit for players that didn't paid for game.

They should be limited by:
- aeras they can go
- ships that they can buy
- Licences they can earn

well i hope you will consider this. i'm sure that this would help vendetta to gain popularity. As it did at Tibia case.

This idea has been discussed before, and it the concept doesnt work very well (would be harder to apply) for vendetta.

The primary reason is that most of vendetta's gameplay is designed to have a PVP "risk" element to it, and the universe is laid out with that in mind as far as the locations of the systems, nations, factions and such. Limiting where people can go based on their status as paid/unpaid would be very hard to do while keeping the feeling of the game intact.

While having the best equipment/levels isnt as much of a deciding factor in the game as it is in point and click style combat games, there is also the fact that most of the equipment is availible by a fairly low level. To limit it would keep non-paid players at a level of effectively less than 4 in order to keep the game layout the way the developers want it to be.

Additionally guildsoftware has worked for 6 years on this. 4 guys have sunk their hearts and souls into it, and they are in no way shape or form finished with this game. They DO however need some funds to continue developing it. $9.99 a month isnt that much to pay for a MMO, and if you purchase it in longer block of time it gets cheaper yet.

Tibia = cartoonish Ulitma Online knockoff. Does not begin to compare with Vendetta.

Spellcast has the right of it Pawel. The Devs have sacrificed years of their lives to bring this game to fruition. It'll be a year on Christmas Eve that they posted they were within a week of closing up shop due to lack of funding. $9.99 is a resonable price for to pay for this game. And as Spellcast noted, if you buy in bulk, the price goes down. The more money that the game brings in, the better the game will get since the Devs will have to worry less about the more mundane things like putting food on the table and concentrate on the more important game related features, like... oh say... MELON WIDGETS!!!! :-)
