Are there any plans for an encoded nation channel? I think such a channel might be it easier for nations to coordinate assaults and defense.

Would be nice to have the old "team" chat back.

This will inherently not work in the long run. Why? People can have several accounts, hence defeating the purpose of the secrecy. Guild chat solves this problem to some extent (as it's by invite)

This is not saying current users are (or arent) cheating bastards, just that it's probably futile in the end.

Sure, but by the time you log out and switch sides, the plan may have changed, if the nation chat is used for battle tactics, etc.

But that wouldn't prevent someone from copying... nation chat -> msg -> enemy -> other nation chat

I guess groups are the best way to coordinate battles. Maybe if we could join more than one group, ie. botting comrades and invasion task force groups... or even task force and wing groups.. a heirarchy of groups, each with their own private communication.

It would be easier to group up with folks in your own faction as well as to help in defense and attacking . Its a very good idea that should be implemented. Does'nt matter if there are spys or not , it will bring a sense of factional community to the game.

Just pick a channel then? ;-)

And so we come full circle... I wonder if we'll have different players with different color chat lines again?

Even if there are spies in nation chat, some basic tactics can occur.

Something like, "Hey, I'm gathering a group to attack the next Serco monkey cargo ship."
