I know everyone whines at FC+Heavy=200m/s infiniboost... But there definitely should be some form of slower infiniboost(IB hereafter) for everyone. If you have light batt+light engine, maybe the IB could max out at 100m/s.. As you get better engines and faster-charging batteries, that speed would increase. Sort of a throttled turbo, for convenience, rather than having to master the turbo-tap. You still wouldn't be able to maneuver, so it wouldn't mess with the max maneuvering speed of the engines.

That way you could line up your course in the sector and do things like chat or navigate sector jumps. Make it a separate turbo command that scales the turbo power for recharge/turbo equalibrium, and still reserve the full-turbo for emergencies.

IB is just so nice, I honestly wouldn't mind having it with lower speeds.

All the times this has come up, I have agreed with this, and this time is no different, but it really is only a convinience for us, and more work for the devs
