Easier Way Of Targeting
A way to implement an easier targeting system, or perhaps just revamp the current system, so theres a button to cycle through ally and enemy targets. Perhaps being able to click on the radar somehow to automatically target the person would be convienent as well?

I'm fairly certain that there is a key to cycle through targets. I never used anything but 'x' (Target closest enemy), myself, so I'm not sure what you're looking for.
The user-select panel ('u') allows you to click on the name of the person you want to target, but only if they're in range. The next patch will introduce an improvement to this where ships out of range are greyed out.
There are keys you can bind for next and previous hostile and friendly targets. However they don't work very well. This needs to be addressed, and it's a bug that's been around for years. (The problem is that the current system just blindly tries to pick "the next farthest/closest target to the one already selected", which works fine except when the relative order changes frequently, which is always.)
It's on our list but it definitely bears a reminder now and then.

Maybe just have it cycle through the same list as when you press "u."
A bit off topic, but can the radar range be increased? 3000m used to be a lot, but now with the 3000m jump limit, it's hardly useful when trying to find (and subsequently fight) another player.

5000 or so'd be just dandy.
If we ever get a "modification" port, perhaps there could be a sensor booster you could buy that upped radar range to 5k.
