After searching a sector of a cargo tranpost with no success, i thought of ways to increase my scanner range

What if you could replace a S-port with a Radar improvement, say +10,000m range
It would use energy as it was used, probly as much as a guass.
I could see it as being used like sonar, a quick blast then checking.
The guass energy would prevent it from becoming too big an advantage , and it would mainly be for pirates

The transports are easy to see when they are spaced, Turn off the backgrounds and the Space Junk and see them appear as bright dots against the background.

The Aerna seekers are hard to see though, but I doubt you'll be looking for those.
