Yes i Hate that too, but i also think to have a jettison cargo button right next to the char info is a really bad idea, could easily be solved with a "Are you sure" dialogue or something

I agree with the suggestion that the levels should be right on your HUD.

About jettison.
You should bind jettison to capital J. And you can also make it tell you that you jettisoned when you do.

Type in the station:

/bind j ""
/alias Jbutton "jettison; echo Cargo Jettisoned"
/bind J Jbutton

Note that aliases are case sensitive.
