personal jukebox

Oct 08, 2004 shade link
the music in vo is great no doubt, but i'd like my own tunes in the game without modding anything. like a personal jukebox or a radio. users can add their own tunes to the game, not just the nation specific background music.

come on! it's AD4432 and there's no jukebox?? then a car is more hitech imho!

Winamp5 or WA2 works better in a background, FYI. ;)

There actually *is* a way to do this in game, but you have to convert your mp3's to .ogg format first. Anyone feel like digging up and linking to the old "playlist" thread?

And for a nice little script on the ingame music, just look towards the end of this other thread:

or to be exact:

but i'd prefer not to bind anything. and yeah, winamp sounds best and doesn't hog system resources as much as windows media player.

wouldn't be better if there was an ingame player and you can load your tunes in a playlist and play them?

Well, we're not in the business of rewriting Winamp but we may give our users the opportunity to do so in the future.

Offtopic I know ... but in the manual it says something about .it files. "it" as in Impulse Tracker? I never bothered to try it out.
