If slower agile ships had faster max turbo speed than the more agile ships, would this kill the ship balance?

I must understand that ships that weigh more have slower acceleration..

I just wanted to be able to have mixed fleets in the game thats all.

Tilt, the devs are most likely going to tweak the engines for every single ship now that they are locked in place. This will allow things like Higher top speeds, and/or less drain for the larger ships making them better at longer distances.
