some ideas
hi I been playing this game for a week now and start to get hang of some things, still there are a few things that in my opnion can be changed for better.
1: automaticly warp when reached 3000m barrier (when nav point has been placed).
2: insector trades have no xp on trade, maybe put 1 point per item to trade/commerce xp.
3: automaticly dock when your in docking bay.
4: if possible adjust time on some trade jobs as they are very difficult to be done within the timescale (specially when you hit ion storm).
5: differend weapons and ships etc for differend races.
6: shielding for ship.
There prolly are more when I get more into the game but for now this is what I would think to change/adjust...
there has been talk about xp bar and I think that would be a nice idea too

1: HELL NO. What if you're fighting and you drift out of the 3K zone?
2: Agreement.
3: Maybe.
4: Actually, as you go up in liscense rank, the time limit becomes ridiculously easy.
5: They'd like to do that but they don't have the resources.
6: That's a design issue, not touching that one with a ten foot pole. It works as it stands.

1)nope, I also like to lure bots away from asteriods and I'd have to jump when I was actually pulling a bot away.
2)Incarnate mentioned in an earlier post that the day-to-day trading would eventually get xp. Just hope it is sooner than later than the release
3)Maybe but how passive do you need to get? with autopilot... autodocking...
4) i do think we need some advanced trade missions that have shorter timers or multiple legs (take this group of pakages to A,B,C, and D) you decide the order and have to navigate through or around ion storms.
5) there are different ships for the higher levels in each race and I got the impression that the storyline will signal the release of more ships possibly in response to the bug ships seen in some sectors.
6) bah hum bug, shields are just another way of making the hulls of the ship stronger. You have to learn how to bob and weave and to keep your enemies away. getting blown up is part of the learning process and in the current game money isn't too hard to find so dying isn't a terrible thing. Except your kill/death ratio does drop but how many really care about that? :)

sarahanne = my heroine!
In webserver's defense, what a lot of players experiences with #6 are shields that repair without docking. This allows more extended stays away from a station.
I don't want them either.

i'm only going to comment on #2

I fully agree that you should get XP for trading on your own, with 1 condition. You should only get XP if you make a profit.

I only want the autowarp when you have a nav point set, if you have no navpoint set you will not autowarp of course,
maybe shielding is a bit over the top (hey what you expect from ex enb player) maybe put auto repair when docked....
of course insector xp when you make a profit other wise there is no point and it is just easy xp
thx tho for reply and feedback

once again. "HECK NO" even when you have a navpoint set.
Haven't you learned by now to -always- set a navpoint into empty space even when botting, or just flying / Trading? its the first thing to do when you're in a sector, as it allows the instant bail-out in case there are too many hostiles, or griefers around.
Also, I actually enjoy spending my time in an Ion Storm fighting. Even when I'm in a slow tradeship I'll take the time to blast a guardian or an assault ship, unless they detour me. Its a sport to actually take them out. otherwise the storms are just dull transportation.
