Planets
I Think it would be really kool if we could actually see the planets orbit not nesarly around the sun but at least make them look more realistic.
Er, you mean make then rotate?
Planets rotate at such a minor velocity compared to their side that you'd literally have to wait an hour or more to see significant change.
If you mean cloud cover, that might be another story.

I think he partly meant that after a while, the planets would actually be in a different part of their orbits around the system. The time scale could be on days or weeks (or heck, even months or years) for most orbits.
The problem would be the backgrounds. They are static at this point, I believe, but they would have to be dynamic - generated based on the positions of things within the system.
But if you just want to see rotating planets, turn your background detail up to extremely high and zoom in (i key by default) on a planet.

You can never actually reach any of the planets, because it's modeled in a skybox that follows you around at a very long distance. You can, however, get them to spin very slowly at the two highest background quality settings. Be prepared to take a framerate hit.
