Here is something I would like to see: When you die, you don't HAVE to go back to the home station.

Here's how it would work: If you die, you have two options.

1) You can return home and buy a new ship (or choose an existing ship) and start from there.

2) If you have an existing ship in a station closer than your home station, you can choose to get into that ship instead.

Now, you can't buy a new ship from anywhere but your home station, but you can choose a ship that you have already purchased.

This is helpful if you're fighting in Dau, and then you get lag-killed by a bot, and have to spawn all the way back in Odia when your good ship is actually in the Nuetral capital (since you flew it there in the first place).

Of course, that's a rhetorical scenario...

I just want to tack onto this post:

PLEASE put a confirm dialog on the home station button! I have accidentally clicked this at least four times whilst trying to launch and screwed up my homepoint.
