I imagine this has already been suggested, but a cursory search didn't turn it up, so apologies if it already has been, or if you can already do this just let me know how and I'll shut up :-)

Would it be possible to have an (option of an) indicator showing the direction of travel (in relation to the ship) in physics mode? Basically just another crosshair pointing in the direction of motion.

You could also have 'edge of screen' type indicators showing the general direction of travel relative to the current view, attacking ships, targets, etc., etc.
