Leveling up takes to long
as many have told me, Leveling up takes to long. it is long and boring. can you put some kind of, test like killing a artamis bot or something hard like that? or, for guys who have a lot of money, can but the stuff for like, 1/-/-/- 100k, and so on, it is bad that it takes 1+hours for someone to level up 1 level.
Leveling up all the way should take several month or years, otherwise why would you keep playing?
Vendetta should use a skill based system (no levels) like SWG or EVE, it prevents people from hitting the max level then having nothing to do but the high level stuff over and over.
well, not all the way. doh. but getting to level 1 takes too long for n00bs, and other players who have gotten to high levels before. (me) just make it so you can go to levels a bit faster.
On the contrary leveling up seems a little faster now. Maybe it's the inclusion of weapon versions (mk 1, mk 2, etc.) that make it seem that way, I'm not sure. I don't know about you but in previous versions I was never able to go up to level 4 combat, light weapons, and heavy weapons within less than 24 hours. I'm only 2 more levels from getting the configuration I want (Warthog--AGT + Geminis + Heavy Batt). So I should have everything by the weekend if I bot continuously. If you're having trouble leveling up by yourself, join a group combat mission. It'll be more worth your time and it won't be as boring.
In any case I don't think Vendetta should be about spending 90% of your career leveling up. On the contrary I feel that the game needs more depth--not being required to take missions just for the sake of getting better stuff, but instead providing various paths to the player that have storylines which suck them into the game. If you don't know what I'm talking about, think of EV Nova. You're not so much aware that the game has this process of leveling up, but rather you're more focused in the storyline to even notice it. And along the way you get more and more excited with all the new things that unfold.
Bottom line, Vendetta should have some restraint in weapon/ship availability... HOWEVER, it shouldn't be a game about just leveling up. There still needs to be more substance to make leveling up less of a chore and more of a natural process that surprises the player along the way. Unfortunately it still looks like there'll be nothing to do after you level all the way up, aside from toying with faction politics. But once that is resolved I think gameplay will improve vastly.

Maybe speed up the lvling process a bit then taper it out when you get to lower mid lvls. Them collector missions are a pain in the arse to try and do to get a combat lvl
I think more missions so be a quest type concept... Not just "go here and beat up 1000 bots to get level 4". Like: Jump halfway across the universe and speak with the "Blah blah bot". "Go halfway accross the universe and destroy an (uber) TGP bot". TGP goes "OMG don't kill me, I'll give you +15 TGP faction if you kill blah blah blah...", you chose yes or no. If you choose no, the "Blah blah blah bot" will spawn out of the station and attack you. Kill it and it will give you +200 combat, and lower your faction rating with that faction, but add 15 TGP to your TGP faction or something..
Its less repetetive. Makes it a little more intesting and allows you to choose which faction you wish to be with.

From what I can see, the lvl'ing precess actually seems quite fast to me, and it also looks tapered as well from what I've seen. Maybe some more clearer beginner tutorials will help people lvl up early on, since most peeps only find the beginning lvl's hard to get as they have no idea what to do :-)
Ideally, there will be much more content and npc missions do to with some kind of ongoing storyline that will drag players away form the lvl'ing treadmill :-)
