More interface stuff
Things I meant to post last night that I just remembered..
It'd be -really- nice if max range for some of the guns were posted, so we know not to bother firing until a certain distance.
Also, when on the equip screen, it doesn't seem to want to show info for anything actually on your ship; to see the specs of something you have installed, you have to unequip it, then click on it. It'd be nice if selecting an equipped item showed it in the info pane.
I saw mention that the station interface was going to be redone. If so, that's cool, I just wanted to mention more of what I see with this one, so you can take these things into account for a new one. :)

Most of the energy/projectile weapons have a maximum *effective* range of about 300m, if your target is beyond that, don't even bother firing.
A couple exceptions of course are the rail gun with which I've pegged targets up to a kilometer away, and the gatling/flechette cannons with which you've gotta be really close (100-150m) to get some good shots in.
If you want to know the *maximum* range of a weapon, take its speed and multiply it by its duration. Most energy weapons have a duration of 3 seconds.

Well, I knew the effective range would be shorter -- always is with weapons of this sort -- but the fact that the energy weapons don't have a posted range/duration made it curious what was -possible-. Say, with a still target, or something moving in a straight line.
Even if the effective range is shorter, it'd be nice to have the posted maximum.
