Hmmm, with the new mission system, could we not bring capping back?
Never really tried capping as a team, i did a few times, and even got out of blue space with the flag as a solo capper (i never did mange that one....) but surely it would be possible to bring back at least the feeling of capping with the new mission system ???...
Think of it this way, you can only take the cap mission as part of a group, the cap mission involves *a cargo* item that is spawned in a *foriegn* capital area (ie, if your serco, a cargo pod from itan, or vice versa, or even, retrieve from pirate in odia, or pirate get from nt, ya get mi drift im sure...) as soon as you pick up the cargo, you get a temp *KOS* for the duration of the mission, which is obviously when you deliver the *cargo* to whatever station sent you ... you could even make the NPC's take part, ie, *NPC is carrying a *cargo* we need, go eliminate and retrieve* just a thought.....

And like flag caps of olde, turbo will be disabled for the "capper"?
Yeah, i guess so.... it could be taken deeper too, like when the cap ships get rolled out, you wouldnt be able to dock with one while carrying..... always loved the idea of capping, but obviously the rewards should only be group shared, and not nation shared like before....

You guys have lots of things planned, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of updates here. Are you gonna keep it all in-house until release?
I think the devs would rather promise a little and deliver a lot then disappoint anyone. (the "Where's the Beef?" question)
They are working hard to put out a quality product and unexpected bugs can slow the release of anything.
I'd hate for the guys to say that they are going to have "X" type feature available on a certain day and then due to circumstances beyond their control not have it in perfect form.
I guess everyone is going to have to wait until Oct 5th and after that to see all the cool things that are headed our way.
I also think they are busy working on the game instead of writing full up-dates for the message board.

Yes, Ray is my husband, but I won't divulge trade secrets. I need to protect his business interests. Besides anything I might say will probably be picked apart to find hidden messages or viewed as an inferred promised features.

This is something I definitely plan to finish before release. 90% of the work in adding any new gameplay feature is backend stuff, like the ability for bots to move from sector to sector, or move through a sector that isn't running, or sending the right kind of trigger when a player performs an action. Then the last 10% is just putting it all together.
