Publicity.
Everyone, before you read this, please jolt over to the "Active Players" section of the site. Then come back.
Now...how many players were on the list? Not bots...but players. Last time I checked, which was 1 minute ago, there were 3 players online. That my, my friends, is a horrendously low number considering the size of the game. Whent he full version comes out, do we want it to be like this? No. Guild Software is a great sleeper company. Now, I know I'm not very old, and I shouldn't be giving advice to men who're probably 2x my Senior. But if you guys want this game to thrive, I would recommend putting the public beta out pretty fast, and then going to different websites and magazines (Game Informer all the way j0! ><) And start doing interviews. Then people will read or see this and say, "Hey, that looks pretty cool. I think I'll go check it out!" Let's say 1/10 people do this, shall we? Now, I don't know how many gamers there are in America, but it sure as hell is a huge number. There would be hundreds, maybe even _thousands_ on at a time during the public beta! And with this, if people had fun...they'd tell friends, who would in turn tell their friends...who would...et cetera. In less than a month, you could probably get a buzz in the gaming community, then more websites and magazines would probably be coming to _you_. I'ono. I don't have expertise in the field. And I'm sure Vets will shoot down my thoughts. But in a best case scenario, this is what might happen! And if this _did_ happen, I believe this game might make top ten best sellers. But..._BUT_, there are also a other big MMORPG's coming out soon (City of Villains, World of Warcraft, Tabula Rasa, Everquest II, etc.) And the only way (I believe) Vendetta is going to sell is if the game is better than the rest. Most gamers prolly don't have enough money for more than like 1 or 2 PfP's.
So, in conclusion, probably the best thing for Vendetta right now would be to get out in the market and start a buzz in the gaming community, get people excited for the game. But, before this, the game must be "hellza kickass...yo", but, I believe, that the faster the game is in peek "awesomeness", the better.
Good luck Guild! You've made it this far!
Cheers.

The devs KNOW all of this, Spaz. They are gamers and have been in the gaming industry for awhile now.
There are few players because the devs have closed down the applications for new accounts temporarily, and existing players have left due to boredom, dissatisfaction with the game evolving in a direction other than their own preference, and natural attrition. Guild has deliberately avoided advertising and has asked users to refrain from advertising because the Vendetta has not been ready for stress testing or mass consumption.
When they feel the time is right, they will pull out all the stops and usher in fresh players who will never have been jaded or irritated by the Test.
