Hard work increasing a level ... and then ...

... nothing ... :(

Sorry, atm i am a bit frustrated. I played a long time to bring my tradelevel up to level 11. And, what did i get in my homesector ... nothing ... nada. Just a friendly "Go out and make us proud". I haven't checked other places than the stations in Dau. But i think, it will be the same.

Okay, i recognized, that some things changed: I was able to buy the Axia Marauder MkII in Verasi a few days ago with 12.13.12.10 - now i can't. Okay, maybe my standing is not good enough (admire, but under 900).

But sorry, getting nothing at ur own homesectors in Dau with 12.13.12.11 and a standing of 993 - that really sucks.

Imo there is a difference to get nothing with level 2 or 3 for trading. These levels are easy to reach, but the higher level aren't.

I hope, in further versions we could get a little goodie when reaching levels over 10.

Good night

Indeed. Players should get SOMETHING every time they level up. Given that it's such a huge amount of boring, arduous work to do so, getting there and discovering that there's no payoff is pretty damned disappointing.
It doesn't have to be something big. Perhaps the ability to access more colors for your ship, perhaps the ability to message in-sector, then in-system as a player's commitment to the game (and in theory their respect for said community) grows. In any case, something should be put into those empty upgrades.

Yeah, not long ago I leveled up to trade 10 and got nothing from my home sector. The incentive to carry on with the leveling system quickly withered away soon afterwards. All I gotta say is I'm glad I leveled up with most of the goodies before the new universe was put into place. It seems like being a newbie is getting harder and harder with each new release.

Not necessarily Arolte. Newbies get to "discover" everything for the first time, so a new goody to them is like a whole new game. But to those of us who are used to all the coolest stuff having to level up to get it just seems like we're being artificially restrained.

But yes. Working your tail off and then getting no payoff really really sucks. And I like the idea of adding non-equipment based advantages like tishman said.

I was under the impression that having more Trade experience granted better buy and sell prices, regardless of license level?

That is the exact same impression I had, Phaserlight. But I sure as heck haven't seen it. As a matter of fact, the "upgrade" to 3.5.2 made trading much worse by eliminating the vanishingly small number profitable trade routes I had found.
Progress???

I think the trading portion of the new universe is still under heavy tweaking. I don't think had time to go through all that stuff yet. Give it some time. I also believe that as your reputation with a faction increases, the lower their prices will be.
