In-system warp animation

Its cool... but it could be a lot more interesting. If you've ever tried FOV 170, that looks like you're moving through some kind of temporal disturbance... by changing the player's FOV rapidly up to 170 (over a couple of seconds or so) it would create a nice Elite-style hyperspace animation which is pretty easy to do too :p

Or break the wormhole animations again like last time and have the camera pick a random view of your ship. The same view gets boring after a while. Bumping up the FOV is a good start though.

Yeah a combo of both above posts ... would give a cool space folding feel. I feel sort of like 'Dune' when I warp, esp now where you plot a course first then jump. It would be cool to have whole fleets jumping in sync.

The "Space Guild" is going to come put a smack down on us for jumping ships without a "Navigator" ... The spice extends life, the spice expands consciousness, the spice is vital to space travel. He who controls Arakas controls Vendetta! Uh, no ... nevermind.

I agree with Aroltes ideas. Looking across a busy station out into space while you wormhole opens would look sick. Even picking a number of persepectives around the ship and cycling between them would be cool. A head on view, a side chase, a static top down view (wh on one side, your ship racing into it from the other) etc.

Every now and then I get a glitch where the wormhole opens up underneath my ship. It looks awesome! If only the ship decended into it instead of going forward.

I still like being able to hit it at full burn, it jumps forwards in pseudomotion...looks freaky for a second, espically if your engines are still locked on burn.

Magus, try manuevering as you enter, the wormhole can't correct and your craft maybe able to do something like that

It's easy to duplicate. Hit brakes and back buttons at the same time, and right before you start moving backwards hit the activate key. It's a lot easier to do with an ebrake alias bound.
