devs is it possible that on the list when you press u that you get a little small button behind every name mentioned that makes you able to PM them by just pressing the button. It will make it very easy to contact anybody withiun the sector, and you wont have to type their name yourselve and make possible mistakes or have the problem that you are taking 5 mins just to message a nation defense bot when you need their help now ...

like:

press u --> shows list

name -- score -- bounty -- button

hello world -- 0 -- 100 button
how are you -- 0 -- 10 button
Renegade -- 0 -- 25 button
Incarnate -- 0 -- 120 button
Alkon -- 0 -- 250 button

Now when I press the button behind alkons nick, then Ill get an automatically message to alkon.

So I press button behind alkons name what makes it into the next string... :

/msg "Alkon" xxx

with xxx the thing that you can type.

That would be nice. You can msg target command after you click on the name in u screen, but that only works if they are in radar range and takes too much clicking.

Also it would be nice to have the chat screen open in a tab from stations, /me hates explaining to noobs about the tilde key.

True... I didn't even include the variable, though, so it could be done. IE:

/alias moo "prompt '/msg Roguelazer'"
/moo

Would (I think) message me. I won't mention the variable that Eldrad is referring to because, well, I wasn't even supposed to mention this. But it's been a secret for about 6 months now.

um roguelazer... messaging target isn't a secret for quite a while now : )
I use the feature to message bots and find out what they are doing/how many bots are out to get me; tis fun.

by the way; is there some tertiary ' I can use when I use prompt?
for example, /alias moo "prompt '/msg Roguelazer'" works fine because Roguelazer is one word. what if I wanted to use /alias moo "prompt '/msg Suicidal Lemming" ? I don't know what I should use to group "Suicidal Lemming" together

the 'players in sector' list and the tab command make messaging players in your sector not too taxing, but I can see how a PM button can save lots of time... took me a while to learn how to type while navigating, and the less typing, the better!

the problem is harvest that tabcompletion doesnt generally give the person you want if there is somebody else with the same initials or when it is randomly generated.

Just try to message an assault and afterwards another assault and youll understand my point

ahh I see. you can't target a bot that you're trying to summon (it's not there!), and usually bots have -nasty- to type names that differ by the last few digits!

/me makes it a habit to memorize the bot list (yes, down to the last few numbers), dock, and then message all the bots as best as she can.

go PM button! I hope it isn't too hard to implement

Your memory must be really scary good if you can remember it to the last number...
