The future of licenses

Right now I do not believe that killing bots makes sense to earn licenses. Though this method of earning xp is going toward the rpg type of game guild has been trying to create, I don't think it makes much sense to be spending so much time killing bots. Instead I believe we should take license tests similar to advanced combat missions and once completed purchase new licenses.

It makes more sense to sell licenses for profit (profit for the nation who sells the license) instead of having them spend hours and days blasting bots. Right now trading isn't as common despite the trade and comerce license. Trading is something which I think made Vendetta worth playing and you can't deny that profit is enjoyable.

So here is my proposition: First you select a license you want to get and are given a mission similar to the advanced combat missions. After accomplishing that you pay for the license. Because of the elimination of much of the botting I believe licenses should cost more, mabye around 10,000 * 1.6^(x-1), where x is the current license level you are paying for. This way of using licenses will promote trade which I always felt was part of the rpg aspect of playing. Though this does almost eliminate xp, I always thought the special nation/race type skills were something cool to implement though I don't have a link to some offhand.

I'm pretty sure it's been said that just about everything right now is provisional...just a test of a much much larger system...
