You remember the red flag icon in the target area of the HUD used to indicate that a person was carrying the flag? It would be nice if we'd know ahead of time whether your selected target is protected by a faction before you fire on 'em. Most often it tells you too late and you end up screwing yourself. So maybe a flag icon should pop up for anyone who is protected by the current sector's faction. If you want to make it even better, different colored flags could come up for different standings. A red flag would indicate "Criminal" or "Hate" status. A yellow flag would indicate neutrality. A green flag would indicate "Admire" or "Love" status.
