Devs or FM, I like Urza's idea and wanted to ask if you could look up which day (Or month, we could pick a day in that month if needed) SF started playing Vendetta Test if you would please?

Of course, when you get time, it's not a major rush.


I think that on SF day, it's kinda like Memorial Day in the sense that we just remember SF, tell the n00bs what he did for the game and how much they owe him. Effectively making SF a god in the game.

Although, SF day won't have any rituals, SF should decide what we do on SF day kinda. Maybe some of what he does normally! (No Vendetta doesn't count)

Although... not meant to bash SF or anything, but there have been a number of long time players that contributed a lot to Vendetta and aren't recognized for their actions. I'm certainly not saying that he hasn't added to the game, but others have helped as much as he has and may deserve some credit. Why the special exception for him? Shouldn't we at least have a day specifically for praising the devs too, then?

I agree. we should have a "vet day" in vendetta :). vendetta story time!: "in my day, when there were just three sectors... when powerups actually existed... wee you can move turrets... I want my blue ions!!" "yea. and the prom was über then."

(small grin~ what with vendetta being completed so soon, I won't even have time to become a vet! weeee)

Well, I agree that a Veteran's Day ingame might be a good idea (maybe for participating in some event that day you can earn a Veteran's Medal or something)

But SF day is to celebrate easily one of the most influential non-Devs or non-FM we've seen. Now he is leaving us for good and we will probably not, if ever, see SF's call sign again.

(I also propose that the call sign "StarFreeze" be retired from usage, (note: as with the char "Vlad" I can protect it))

I think that it should be retired similar to a sports number (eg. 23 in the case of Michael Jordan) so that no other can tarnish it's reputation and it can stand as a legacy to the person

I don't think that there should be a StarFreeze day. Instead as has already been mentioned, a Veterans Day is a much wiser idea. Because there are other people who have had as much if not more of an influence on Vendetta than just StarFreeze. FireMage comes to mind, as does Asphyxia, as does the original bot maker.

Furthermore, I dislike the idea of "retiring" a nickname. I do not think that he nor any one else has earned that privilege. IMNSHO, the only way to do that would be a MAJOR contribution to Vendetta. And I don't mean just ingame stuff.

I mean, he REALLY influenced the game, so why don't we just have SEVERAL days to celebrate "Vets"? I mean, on those days we just recognize them and/or have a ginormous war. Either way, its like 27>1 here, so I think we should figure out what day it is!
