Uhh, I know I discussed this before but I want more feedback because this could change alot of things.

As I previously said, we should have (Once we add more sectors) a couple of sectors where there is a forever fighting war with cap. ships and def. bots killing the crap out of each other (With no Bountry spilled out). And if we could add missions that would be like, our front is running short of supplies, please aid them in bringing 15 bla bla bla to them and these missions would get like 10k or 15k if succeeded and like 1k bonus if in a given time. It would change the gameplay of the game because it would bring out more depth and detail. And for those people who kill noobs (COUGH Phoenix COUGH) and others can go in these sectors and just fight non-stop. Also to bring back another point, instead of locking people out of sectors there should just be like weapon platforms at each sector entrance and they scan your ship and cargo (And ratings) To see if your hated or not and if you are they shoot you like Crazy. For some of you who played Freelancer I am kind of bringing this idea from that. Plus, stations should have turrets so noobs dont die when they are repairing. Because people who are like -500 can still enter sectors and still kill noobs and if we kind of have a protection unit it would kind of make the game more appealing for the noobs that enter when the final release comes.

And for 1 more point. I have a couple of ships in mind that I think should be added.

Brawler:
Very Heavy Attack Fighter
Slots: 1 large, 3 small
Cargo: 2
Speed: low/med.
Armor: 12000
Cost: 30k

Destroyer:
Very Heavy Bomber
Slots: 3 Large, 1 small
Cargo: 2
Speed: Very Low
Armor: 20000
Cost: 30k

And a couple of weapons

Burst Missiles:
Hold of Missiles: 30 (Mini Missiles)
Mini Missiles per 1 missile: 10
Damage: Each mini missile is 500 damage, the Entire Missile itself 5000
Cost for Missiles: 1k
Fuel for Missile: 30 sec.
Fuel for Mini Missiles: 10 sec.
Features: This is kind of like if you have multiple targets, you fire the missile and then hit the fire key again to split the missile, you dont have to split the missile but when its split, 10 mini homing missiles split and goto the nearest targets. The Real missile itself is also homing.

Neuron Mines:
Damage: 0 to hull, (Complete shut down of all systems for 30 sec.)
Capacity hold: 5 Neuron Mines
Cost per mine: 1k
Time till mine experation: 30 min.
Features: It is a cloaked mine that explodes when a certain target is in range. Instead of fire it sends out a electrifying shock that pulls the target next to the mine and you are complete immobile for 30 sec.

Well thats all I thought of and some of it I Really feel is nessary but I would like alot of feedback. These are just starter stages, The weapons/ships can be changed around if you feel something needs to be changed, plz tell me if I left out anything too.

The mini missles weapon shouldn't be homing. It would just be like another swarm-like weapon. Make it a straight fire weapon.

Huh, shotgun rockets. Sort of like a cross between the popcorn gun and sunflares...

None of this is new.

Dave, read the Name of the thread!

I like the basic idea, needs more development though

The burst missile should not home, yet the mini missiles should.

See, if you have both homing, it's too much like swarms, if you have none homeing, it'd be more like a missle version of the flechette cannon.

Neuron Mines? Um a Neuron is a brain cell... Brain Cell mines?

And 30 seconds is too long. Make it more like 10.

Problem with Neuron mines, they can be easily exploited. I haven't leveled up high enough to see if lighting mines are still around, but all you need is a centuar, lay a neuron mine outside every exit to a space station, and then lay l-mines. The player exits, is disabled, then killed.

lol, I meant Neutron Mines :D

"Huh, shotgun rockets. Sort of like a cross between the popcorn gun and sunflares..."

/me watches ping go through roof..

mmm, fun. 'nuff said.

Seriously, yeah, they would be great... Realistically, not all of us are on 2mb broadband! With 7k sectors and, when released, a lot more players the server isnt gonna be a happy bunny either...

I'm assuming that these neu/neut-ron mines would have a simmilar effect to that of an emp? Completely shutting down electrical systems.

yeah, I like that idea, though 30seconds is FAR too long, maybe five seconds of just no thrust, weapons fire or radar (you just drift, a la physics mode) would be great for traders who are getting tailed, those five seconds could be the difference between profit and death.

As for exploiting well, yeah I can see a few scenarios, mostly involving stations and / or wormholes, but I'm sure if you happen to be blowing up random people who are leaving stations then your faction standing is gonna fall dramatically =)

Besides, shouldnt station defences (when implemented) be shooting these things to death anyway. I know if I was a station commander and there were live mines sitting outside MY station, i'd sure as hell be getting rid of em!

Just chucking some thoughts into the pot!

hehe. quoth Akkisti: "wee! I can do 9k damage in under 2 seconds with a hog! *happy*"

you get the idea -_~ funfunfun

lol, 5 sec would be good but I think it should be a large weapon, then he wouldn't be able to do it that fast :D

To tell the truth, I don't like the idea of either of your ships or your weapons. :(
BUT the sector of constant war is a cool idea, while it would lag alot without alot of support, it'd be fun.

well as I said they are prior to change, so if u dont likem, plz tell me or post it here how you would like them if u were to change them.
