This is more a suggestion to the rest of the users/players/testers/roleplayers/griefers/etc:
How's about creating nation specific or hell maybe even guild specific languages?
Including grammar, writing system and of course lot's of words (maybe even including completely new concepts)
_________
This is basically how it could work:
A language would get a "supervisor", a thread is created where people can post suggestions for words, grammar etc. the "supervisor" then decides wether or not these words/grammar-rules will be added to the language.
These words/grammar-rules will then be added to all the "language file" and updated whenever something new is added:
Language -> English | Vocabulary-file: this is an spreadsheet (excel and calc) file, with all the words sorted by alphabet.
English -> Language | Vocabulary-file: this is an spreadsheet (excel and calc) file, with all the words sorted by alphabet.
Grammar-file: an word/writer document with all the grammar rules.
_________
Languages:
Could be anything, it could be a simple language with childish grammar called Vendetish; or it could be an extremely complicated language with lot's of rules and exceptions to rules, and exceptions to exceptions (...) called English-2.
_________
Writing system:
Once a language is "done" a writing system could be made, basically the first one to scan his/her invention and send it in wins ;)
If you aren't original you could use whatever writing system currently exists.
_________
If you want I could supervise with any language you want; however if I supervise Serco, I don't want to supervise Itani and visa-versa; those 2 languages should not be look-a-likes (duh).
_________
Legal crap:
I don't guarantee your language will come into Vendetta, infact I highly doubt it myself. However you are free (to some extent) to chant it over global chat, as long as you keep it civilised.

wayyyyyy too much work
Serco's official language is English. You guys have fun making up yer own crap, we're settled.
NT can have *snigger* French.
dont you be dissin the french :)
/me is 50% french
/me is 50% french
Itani claims C, C++, C#, Java, Pascal, PHP, JavaScript, Basic (and all derivatives), Fortran, Haskell and Whitespace.
Yeah, but it means diddly-crap if Serco claim Binary (which we do)
Itani gets hex, though.
Serco: Binary, English, basic
NT:
Itani: Everything that relies on Serco Binary....in other words, Itani have no language
NT are too lazy apparently to post their desired language thus probably the reason they have no language of their own, too lazy to come up with one :P
Kidding, kinda, maybe, not really, no

NT will take all other languages that have not been claimed so far (human or computer).
That would include American-English but not the real English :P

NT can have COBALT.
We speak through telepathy. We have no use for your puny human languages.
Hmm, should I start creating "the Itani language" anyway? :P
We have Galactic Trade Standard, just you...can't...write...it....... Hmm, how about we don't do anything of the sort with new languages.
We can too write in it. Somebody made a ttf font out of it, which I now use for window titles (you'd be surprised how quickly you start to recognize which GTS symbols represent "Firefox"
Itani adsumit latinum.
/me points to: http://www.dse.nl/~sheean/vendetta/GTS.ttf
There's also one that looks like it's written (you know, with a hand), but I'm not quite sure where you can get that one.

HAH! NT gets bash! Eat that.
The url for the calligraphic GTS font is in the the waylonics irc channel.
irc.slashnet.org #vendetta-waylonics

NT will take decimal (hahah) and HTTP, XML, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, algebraic (yes it is actually a language), Lawyerese, Docterese, Klingon, Romulan, Andorian, Vulcan,Elvish, and GTS . HAH, take THAT!!
Red cactus: bash is actually nice and easy to use.
