I know as a player, i am only worth roughly $5 a month, so i know if i gave one of the stupid "Fix it now or i wont ever play again" posts, it will be flamed and no one will bother reading it.

However, i have a request which i would really like if you guys worked on, it should only take about 10 minutes or less to do.

Please devs, please make the drones more agressive and make them stay closer to the center of the sector area. They fly way way way out, and no one can find them. Make them smarter so they can hit so they are more challenging as well, so it is harder to level up when they stay close.

Thank you for your time

I add my support to this request, however, I am patient enough to wait for it to be fixed on a more relaxed schedule.

well with my support we're worth $15 a month! Woot!

but yes, I chased a Recon and a MK II as far as 30000 yes 3 with 4 zeros after it, out from the approximate center of s12 (30000 past the last little roid cluster) before downing them and then having to go all the way back and kill the MK II which ran out the same distance.

Bots need to be slowed down a little and also a LOT more aggressive rather than this "I got hit once! RUN AWAY!" attitude they seem to have on display.

How about make the Homesector bots the same as before in 3.3... Just make the 75's/Drone I's use the same laser as they do now (in 3.4).

At least they don't space like crazy in s12 as they do now. (Its too damn hard and tiresome to level up using a light/light combo when every Drone II is over 2k meters apart, and they are faster than you).

If you watch where the drone II's are flying, you can generally find an area where five or six always fly through. In s4 my spot is near the s8 wh. Use the zoom key to see if they are moving toward you or away. If it is moving away, leave it, it will lead you on a merry chase all over the sector. If is moving towards you, make a nice intercept vector which puts you in front of it. If you approach them from the front, you can generally either kill them outright or make them stop and fight. If not, they'll be back.

You don't need to beg or plead; I am going to make central controller for the drones which assigns the nearest unoccupied one to you as long as you're within the botting area. And controls the number of bots proportional to the number of botters.

Maybe tomorrow, but we have a lot of bug hunting to do aside from that. They fly way way out because the pathfinding code is broken.

Your response is appreciated a1k0n. Thank you.

Talking about broken pathfinding code. The defbots get stuck on stations a lot. Mostly they sit with the cockpit on the top of some part of the station that sticks out. Looks funny. If you shake them with a gemini they continue flying. And no, I don't care when you fix this. Its no biggie.

w00t a dynamic number of bots! Yay!
