advanced trading mission

May 02, 2004 Ciuciu link
Hi.. so i have been trading recently and wanderinga bout some better trading missions and:

1) Missions aren't designed to current level of player. When i was at lvl5 i recived missions like bring 13 blah blah somewehre (i got only atlas, so i was just a waste of time for me to do that) and now when i'm lvl8 i recive misions such as bring datapad to... or bring 7 of sth somewere... Well..that sux. I want to recive missions like take 15 (16?) of sth ghere or such, which of course will be more expereienced (now i can recife mission for 55xp if not increased standing - 600xp somethimes even - I would never get next level)

2) What about missions TO hidden sectors ? they should be included also.. for example "We desperatly need 16 crates from BioTech station" and thats all.. maybe some more info taht you should look around s8

3) What bout missions like take 12 of sth to A, after that 16 of sth from A to B, and from B a datapad and 14 of sth back to us ?
It could give a ton of xp (such as 4 or 5k

4) there sohould be NPC to hire.. for example if you give him 50.000 he will lead you to s14

One more thing. I noticed that prices for everything are getting better and better. Thats really good, but it should be flatten a little. I got now about 2mil and spend money on whatever i want. So i suggest that at the begining raise of prices would be hardly noticable, after lvl4 it would rise a bit, but only after lvl8 it would rise a lot (while after lvl11 it should kick ass)

That should prevent fighters players from fighteing till no money, jump into wright or atlas, trade for 2h and get 200000 - 400000c again to spend

1 Missions are sort of tiered to the player, I think it's a table that has a % chance of what type of mission depending on your level.

2 Hidden sectors can appear in missions at a later time, once the devs have the baseic system debugged, thats a content issue not a code issue.

3 they have those, they appear when you accept the "more work" at the end of a run. the XP on them is worse than taking several single runs, but the reputation is better.

4. hiring NPC's is a discussed item, has been hashed over many times.

as for pricces, those are determined by your reputation with the faction where you are buying/selling , the better your rep, the better deal you get with each station. also higher commerce levels seem to give a "haggling bonus"
