Has Guild Software considered the inclusion of a member site with their game when it goes commercial? It seems to me that there will be a lot more forum traffic when this goes commercial and there is a potential to make even more money by having a slick, new website all ready to go.

This one is showing some growing pains just from the test and will never do for the final product.

Or will this function be filled by the numerous "community sites"?

We already have a new site. It's about 80% completed, we're waiting on some content additions (that I need to write / revise) and a new webserver architecture to go into place. Plus, we're going to be migrating our webserver machines, soon, to a location with more bandwidth. The new site/server setup should provide a much better presentation of the game, and also be able to support a great deal more users.

Right now, game development is the big priority for our time. But you will see the new site go into effect within the next couple of months.

Am I the only one worried that the Devs already have the Vendetta (not Vendetta Test) site 80% completed? Or that they're preparing to move to an undisclosed location?

pyro why would that worry you. You should be rejoicing for that means that the vendetta product may be completed soon and the devs will have reached a succesful conclusion to their long labor of love. :)

Er, lose people? I don't understand. When the new site goes online, the old one will redirect to it. All the accounts and stuff will all work the same way, for as long as the Test is in operation. It'll just look a lot prettier and have a lot more information in one place. Plus we're adding some fun things like a "Featured Screenshot" set that can be submitted by the community and stuff. It should be cool.

I'll spam the featured screenshot with my random polygon bug pictures!
