smuggling missions from NPC at bars local/NPC chat

Hello Guild Software team,

First of all, thank you for continuing to support Vendetta Online after so many years. I really enjoy the game, especially its trading, exploration, and multiplayer aspects.

I have a suggestion that I think could make trading more immersive and create a new career path for players.

Instead of adding illegal goods to the regular station market, what if players could receive smuggling jobs from NPCs in station bars? After talking with different NPCs, some would offer normal transport or delivery missions, while others—usually suspicious characters—could secretly offer illegal contracts.

For example, players could transport illegal cargo such as narcotics or slaves from stations located in Greyspace, where criminal organizations operate, to stations in highly secure systems. The destination stations themselves would not be requesting these goods. Instead, the cargo would be intended for hidden NPC clients living there, making the activity feel like real smuggling rather than ordinary trade.

This system could include:

- Normal NPC transport missions mixed with rare smuggling offers, so illegal jobs feel special.
- Higher profits because of the increased risk.
- Security scans or patrols that could detect illegal cargo.
- Fines, cargo confiscation, or reputation loss if caught.
- Equipment or ships designed to help smugglers avoid detection.

I think this would add more depth to the trading gameplay, encourage players to visit station bars more often, and create exciting risk-versus-reward decisions without affecting players who prefer legal trading.

Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion, and thank you again for keeping Vendetta Online alive.

Best regards,
A Vendetta Online player

Just having NPC interaction in the bar would be pretty cool.

and if you think about it military career players could get a notification when one of the illegal traders get scanned and they can fly to it and destroy it to gain their faction respect
