Curious how hard it would be to create a VO Wot like version.
I've always like the capture the flag idea in games
Would it be harder to impliment into VO or harder to create a separate capture the flag only version etc. ?
Just curious mostly.
Thinking a sort of WOT like but with a marked sphere boundry to capture or something.
Or of course kill all enemy to win too.
Not really a suggestion though I guess just curious if it's even possible, how hard and which is harder etc.

I've never played WOT. We've had various versions of CTF though. We had one where there were a variety of flags in a single sector that people had to claim and "hold" for a period of time. We've had other versions as well.
Adding CTF in some way is not.. wildly complicated. The idea of having specific one-off instance sectors that are only accessed from stations (as a "simulator" or something, game-within-a-game) that gives a forced construct of a particular play model.. we've been talking about that kind of thing for years. For ranked PvP play with fixed ship types, or whatever else. That's feasible, but it is some work to do.
Creating a "capture the flag only version", do you mean like a separate game? That would be a pretty big pain in the ass. Mostly to be maintaining a whole other product and binary and shipping releases and stuff. It's technically feasible. It has some benefits, because it removes all the "RPG" factor from people who just want instant-action, I get that. But it's a completely different kind of game to build and market and maintain. It's also far less "sticky", because there's no character-driven growth. This is why some AAA liveops games can ship and get millions of people to play, and then a few weeks later.. no one is there. It's a really "fickle" market. MMORPGs are very difficult to get people into, but they have far longer retention than any other game genre.
Anyway.. I hope that answers your question.

What odd timing, I just re launched my plugin CTF game
Luxen said he'll give the winner a special discord tag so snap to it

Feel free to make a real ingame one again though, as this is quite the work around heh
