30 Days TIME SPENT ONLINE to Guild creation

Dec 11, 2025 Factor Fett link
I know from personal experience that playing Vendetta Online can be confusing and complicated at first.
Tutorials and missions help, but Vendetta Online is a very broad game of exploration, discovery, learning, and development, where Guilds play an important role in player retention. The more you learn about the game through your Guild and your fellow players, the more you enjoy it.

That's why I want to suggest that, in order for a player to form a Guild, in addition to the current requirements, they should have at least 30 days of TIME SPENT ONLINE.

You haven't exactly said why this is important, aside from an implication that new players are incapable of learning together, building connections and becoming thriving members of the community without being apart of an established guild.

That aside, 30 days time spent online is far too long. If we assume an average player spends 4 hours a day online, it will take them 180 days to make that requirement.

Great suggestion and implication!

(Greenwall, you basically are just sarcastic and unhelpful on every post on here now, with a long history of thread-mutes, so I think we'll just decline to have further input from you on Suggestions).

Back to the topic at hand: 30-days of in-game time is a pretty huge investment. It seems extreme to place such a requirement on people to be able to form a guild. Especially given that, forming and maintaining a guild is actually a major driver of player retention, because it gives people a goal to push for.

Established guilds get enough benefits already, and will probably have even more once the previously mentioned guild recruiting enhancements are implemented. So, I think there'll always be a strong bias towards the established guilds, regardless of adding further barriers like the one suggested here.

Our guild requirements are already non-trivial, to keep there from being huge numbers of silly guilds that don't really exist. I think there would need to be a much stronger argument to raise the bar to this extent.

30 days is... extreme.

Hell... even a single hour might be too much!

As far as silly guilds are concerned we've got plenty already and if you're playing vo for the sake of making silly guilds... safe to assume you've got plenty of time to do it.

That said... the suggestion has... merit - fuck it make it at least 1h of ingame time; good place to start.

New silly guilds have never been a problem, limit there but it's not stupid either.

Well, we don't really have silly guilds, because they expire after a week, when people can't gather enough players to fulfill the requirements. So.. again.. it's not exactly trivial to start a guild already.

Whatever silly-guilds we have are usually started by vets who have a strong understanding of the system and would be able to surpass any of these mandates anyway.

I doubt adding a 1-hour gametime requirement is going to change anything.. we're talking guild-creation here, not guild-joining. No one is making guilds in their first hour. They're mostly trying to like.. leave the tutorial sector.

Perhaps they should spend 1 hour in a guild first, in order to be taught some of the in’s and outs. I think player retention is the most important aspect here.

Makes plenty of sense to me; I don't find it to be a pressing issue but having to have spent some time in another guild won't hurt - better than an anrbitrary period of time spent online anyway.

If anything i think guild formation requirements are currently too strict. Drop the foundation of a guild minimum to 6 (1 co and 5 council) to expedite guild creation. If you're worried about alt guilds reduce the amount of character slots for new accounts by half. Make the slots purchaseable and grandfather in some complainers but nobody needs that many slots in my opinion. Maybe extend the time allowed to form a guild as well so people can be more selective and less desperate just to get it formed.

10 is just a lot if you ask me

I'm not against that, really, although it'd probably be reasonable to set some kind of achievement bar on the individuals forming the guild (like not shared on accounts, and each has some decent Combat license or something).

Interesting thought, but as others will note, people will just make alts by creating entire accounts. A lot of the inherent "alt-management" of the game went out the window with the demise of being a pay-to-play subscription title.

Make the slots purchaseable and grandfather in some complainers but nobody needs that many slots in my opinion.

That is certainly a popular monetization strategy in a lot of other titles. I don't think it's unreasonable either, if existing accounts were grandfathered.
