badges

I failed to see how to add to the badges suggestion page, so I am putting this here.

How about badges for 5000,10k and 50k queen kills?
Also, badges for 5000, and then 10k, missions taken.
I would also like to see a birthday badge, a 1 year (365 days) in game badge.
You could also extend the amount of hive killed badge to 250000.
I would like you to extend badges for unrat kills too. I have the dent badge maxed, and I am close to maxing out the escort kill badge. Once a badge is maxed, I kinda of lose interest, so extending these would help me stay interested in these aspects of the game.
Thank you for your consideration.

badges in a few cases arent well balanced, additional badges should likely be more thoughtful going forward..

id figure an average long term player who actually kills queens would have 400 to 600 queen kills in my limited view.. so the top badge might float just above that, allowing the badges to be achieved "naturally" and the top badge to require "more effort". 200 levis would be roughly 800 queens alone, plausbly more, or even less if you dont solo.

the devs would have actual searchable and sortable data.. which id think should be used instead of arbitrary numbers. ie, lets look at how many kills the entire history of vo actually have. whats normal?

10, 25, 100, 500, 1000, (?5000)

i think 5000 and beyond is pretty niche, 50k is getting into mining badge territory.. which scales kinda silly.

the unrat badges were attainable, but in actual gameplay youd think you could finish both of them within closer proximity to each other. ie, youll have all the dents done and still have 4000 escorts remaining. so either raise the dents considerably, or lower the escorts.

then theres mining.. woof. where to begin. i dont think scaling up gear/equipment is the solution. i think refactoring it entirely is the direction to go. more badges between 100k and 1m and cap out while still in advanced miner..

to be clear, im not saying "extended" badges (those which will only be achieved by 1%) are a bad idea, just that they should scale a lot more gradually if they are to exist at all. not just stacking more upward, considerably more inbetween.

another example,

basic miner could be stretched way out. there are more badges in the unttainable area than there are in the early game.. thats backwards from my pov.

basic miner could have 8 to 12 steps from start to threshold instead of 4 and the bhm's could be relocated accordingly. 100, 500, 1000, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800, 25600, 51200, 124000..

in this example beyond third badge each subsequent badge is the sum of all badges before it.. or whatever.. just.. an actual scale instead of randomly selected numbers.. which leads to a place our 20 years of data shows it should, or just beyond.. theres always room to go up again later.

i did choose my scale randomly in the example, it should likely cap out at 100k where bm3 does instead of 124k. it wasnt to present levels i think are good, just how they are calculated..

i guess it already is scaled not random, some are just missing from among the early levels in mining.

100*(2.150^Lvl)

(100) Lvl 1 (215) Lvl 2 (462.25) Lvl 3 (993.8375) Lvl 4 (2136.750625) Lvl 5 (4594.01384375) Lvl 6 (9877.1297640625) Lvl 7 (21235.828992734) Lvl 8 (45657.032334379) Lvl 9 (98162.619518915)

ish. basically what you already do.. 100, 200, 500, 1k, 2k, 5k, 10k, 20k, 50k, 100k, 500k

but may be some kind of hard cap or decay on badge requirement once you hit a certain level.. so its still going up, but not doubling anymore. that might happen around (1k) for queens, and (50k) for bot kills, and (1m) for mining.. allowing them to be stretched out in those peak numbers where its already crazy level
